In Egypt, there is a unique place where beauty becomes a cosmic sound. On the Red Sea coast in the north of Dahab there is the Blue Hole – one of the best places in the Sinai and the most dangerous place for divers. Blue Hole is a vertical cave dating back to the Red Sea is 100 meters deep, surrounded by coral reefs. The geologists cannot explain exactly how this steep cave with a diameter of at least 50 meters formed. Tourists flock here to look into the abyss on board of the pleasure boat, and the most daring plunge into the water, trying to see with their own eyes and feel the fascinating appeal of the abyss. Pushed off from the edge of the cave, diver rushes into the darkness. Another name for this place is Cemetery divers accidental. Immersion route was simple, took more than a hundred lives.
There is a local legend about this underwater cave conveys that in ancient times lived on the coast of the emir. Emir had a daughter, indulged in debauchery with the local boys, as soon as her father went with his army to march. To hide everything from father, the young men have been drowned. When Emir became aware of the crimes of his daughter, he ordered her execution. Without waiting for the penalty, unhappy he rushed into the abyss with the words that will take away anyone who dares to continue to enter here into the water. In the modern view this history is like a “soap opera” and it seems unreal. However, Blue Hole annually takes healthy young men. In memory of the dead divers, first signs with the names of the departed were installed.
There were so many of them that the authorities were afraid to scare away tourists and banned plaques. Instead, next to the hole into a bottomless abyss, ribbons are fluttering in the wind. Victims of Blue Hole are not only newcomers who are not familiar with the meaning of the term “depth of intoxication”, familiar to anyone experienced divers. Hole took many divers, which sank to a depth of dangerous and unusual places on the planet. Going down to around 100 meters, the diver approaches the barrier, the existence of which is confirmed by Jacques Cousteau in the last century, who investigated the Blue Hole.
