Hua Hin is Thailand town on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, 220 kilometers south of Bangkok and a popular tourist resort beach. This is one of the oldest resorts in Thailand. Although the city is small, only 80 000 people, it is a fully developed tourist center for almost all types of holiday, and we recommend to consider it as an alternative to rest in Pattaya.
Resort Hua Hin is considered by no means cheap, unlike other places in Thailand. Generally for Hua Hin the title of “royal resort” is well established because almost a century ago the King of Thailand chose this place for the rest of the royal family. Therefore, it is always clean and tidy, with very high level of safety and low crime.
This heavenly place is different from other resorts in the country for its tranquility. That’s what it is attractive to tourists, especially the older and elderly, families wishing to avoid the noisy crowds, take a break from the bustle. The only prerequisite for a comfortable stay here is a slightly larger margin of finance than other resorts on mainland of Thailand. However, to say that for budget travelers access to this place is quite closed, won’t be true.
Of course, most of Hua Hin hotels are quite expensive, and the tours here are expensive because of this. It is also worth mentioning the town of Cha Am (Cha-am), which, though located 25 kilometers from Hua Hin, is often seen by tourists as one of the distant beaches of Hua Hin. The Cha-Am selection of low-cost housing is represented by a much wider and quieter environment. In general, Hua Hin is a suitable place for travelers, even with the most modest possibilities; but you will have to come here by your own, as it’s almost impossible to find cheap trips.
Another advantage of Hua Hin is a convenient location relatively to the airport of Bangkok. Although in the Hua Hin Airport receives only a modest and rare domestic flights, arriving at Bangkok International Airport to Hua Hin from there you can reach in 3 hours and only 300 bat on the direct bus.
