Pearl Bridge was built in 1988, when construction conditions were incredibly difficult – in the Strait there often were severe storms and shipping on it is more than active – daily almost fifteen hundred vessels swim through it. Various technological problems in the construction were solved on the go, in very original and ultimately successful way.
