Ayutthaya is an ancient city in Thailand located near Bangkok, 100 km to the north of it. The city is the ancient capital of the eponymous kingdom preceding Siam. In 1991, the historic center of Ayutthaya was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Before the fall of Ayutthaya in, there were 400 temples, 3 Palaces, 12 km of the fortress wall, 17 small fortresses and 100 city gates.
