The main thing that attracts wildlife enthusiasts to the Kaziranga Park in Assam is a unique fauna. There are 35 species of mammals inhabit. 15 of them are classified as endangered. World’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceros has found shelter in Kazarange. With the creation of the park, the rhinoceros population, once considered an enviable trophy of hunting, is now constantly growing: in the beginning of XXI century, the number of these giants for the first time reached 1500. Also in the park you can see tigers, elephants, sloth, Bengal cats, dogs, anglers, gaur, barasingha and many other wild animals. The Kaziranga National Park has more than 40 species of turtles, lizards and snakes. The park has a reserve of birds and tigers.
