Plitvice Lakes is a national park in Croatia. The park is enormous – nearly 30 thousand hectares. Here you will see 16 large and many small lakes located cascade of 140 waterfalls, 20 caves, a unique beech and pine forest. The park Plitvice lakes inhabited by wolves, bears, rare birds. It is interesting that until the 1960s the park was inaccessible for tourists. Only in 1958 construction of pedestrian paths and routes began and, over time, environmentally friendly electric trains, ferries and pleasure boats appeared.
